Education: Tim graduated from Quinnipiac College in Hamden, Connecticut in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. He has been serving the people of DeKalb County since that time, taking his first job as Director of Physical Therapy at Sandwich Community Hospital. He accepted a position as Chief Physical Therapist at Northern Illinois University in 1976. The private practice was established in 1978. Tim moved the practice to its current location at 3266 Resource Parkway in 1995. He has completed many advanced courses in treatment of orthopaedic conditions, including study at the Rehab Institute in Chicago, Emory University, and Northwestern University.
Education: Ken Olson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northern Illinois University in 1988, a Master of Science in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in 1994, and a Doctorate of Health Science degree from the University of St. Augustine in 2003. He is also a graduate of the University of St. Augustine's Manual Therapy Fellowship Program. Ken is author of the textbook Manual Physical Therapy of the Spine, published in 2009 by Saunders, Elsevier; St. Louis..
Education: Denny graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Northern Illinois University in 1997 and received his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certificate in 1999. He became a board certified specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy in 2003. In 2009 Denny earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree while completing the Executive Program in Private Practice Management through Evidence in Motion. Denny also teaches continuing education courses to health care professionals and has attended numerous courses on advanced orthopaedic, manual therapy, orthotic, and functional training techniques.
Education: Rob graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northern Illinois University. He has advanced training in Aquatic Therapy, treatment of Biomechanical Dysfunction and Industrial Rehabilitation. Rob also serves as a Physical Therapist in the Alabama National Guard with the 20th Special Forces Group. He is a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Education: Melissa graduated in December 2001 from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy. At Washington University, she was trained in the concept of movement impairment syndromes, with an emphasis on human movement analysis. Melissa graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Exercise Science in 1998. In 1997, she received her certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has attended several continuing education courses related to manual therapy treatment and sports/work-related injuries.
Education: Aaron joined the professional staff at Northern Rehab after receiving his Master of Physical Therapy Degree from Northern Illinois University in the spring of 2002. In 2008, Aaron earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Regis University in Denver, CO. Aaron has also completed various courses focusing on evaluation and treatment of the spine, foot and ankle, knee and shoulder. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Aaron has served on the Kishwaukee Family Board of Directors for the last 3 years.
Education: Melissa graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Master in Physical Therapy in Spring of 2006. She also received her Bachelor of Health Science from NIU. In 2002, Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from the University of Iowa, as well as a Minor in Aging Studies. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Young Professionals of Sycamore, DeKalb County Panhellenic, DeKalb County Farm Bureau, and DeKalb Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy Class of 2008.
Education: Kristin graduated from Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, IA with her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2004. She has completed education courses on the evaluation and treatment of the dizziness disorders, manual/ manipulative therapy for the spine, Tai Chi for rehabilitation and balance, and Movement System Impairment analysis and treatment for the upper and lower quadrants. Kristin is also trained to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations and supervise work conditioning programs.
Education: Rachel LeClercq graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Master in Physical Therapy in 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 2006 from NIU in which she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Rachel has completed advanced courses in manual therapy techniques primarily for the spine. Rachel is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Clinically: Rachel works with a varied caseload of orthopaedic and medical conditions. She is interested in the treatment of dizziness and vestibular disorders. Also, Rachel enjoys working with high level athletes and the school-aged pediatric population.
Socially: Rachel was raised in Lisle, home of the Morton Arboretum, where she enjoys hiking and biking. Her favorite activities include playing volleyball and softball, reading, and writing.

Education: Byron Cann graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Master in Physical Therapy in 2009. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 2007 from NIU as well. Byron is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Clinically: Byron enjoys working with a wide variety of orthopaedic and medical conditions. He particularly enjoys working with athletes and treating orthopaedic conditions. Byron utilizes a hands on approach to treatment combined with therapeutic exercises. He has recently taken a continuing education course on examination and treatment of the spine.
Socially: Byron was born and raised right here in Dekalb and currently resides in Cherry Valley. In his free time he enjoys any activity that takes him outdoors. He particularly likes camping, fishing in Canada, and skiing in Colorado.

EXCERCISE SPECIALIST
Education: Joe received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with focus on exercise physiology and movement and learning, from the University of Illinois in 2004. While working on his degree, he was an active member of the Navy ROTC program and also worked as a personal trainer and fitness consultant for the university's Recreation Services. After his collegiate career, he served four years as an surface warfare/athletics officer in the US Navy.
Clinically: Joe Themig joined Northern Rehab in the Summer of 2009. At Northern Rehab, Joe has been coordinating Performance Enhancement, Balance Classes, and Independent Functional Strength programs. He is also conducting educational seminars on training and performance enhancement for local coaches and athletes of all ages. In the clinic, Joe has been working with post-rehabilitation individuals on implementing personalized exercise programs.
Socially: Joe enjoys music, exercise, sports, and spending time with friends. He also plays ice hockey and is involved with USA Hockey.
