Neck Pain
Physical therapy treatment addresses neck pain by assessing the muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, bones, and joints in that region of the body. Neck pain may also accompany shoulder, jaw, head, or upper arms/upper back pain. Common causes of neck pain include whiplash (neck strain or sprain), poor posture, rheumatoid arthritis, cervical disc degeneration, herniated cervical disc, and improper sleeping positions. If neck pain is chronic or reoccurring, you should seek a physical therapist to relieve your pain and to address muscle imbalances to manage your complaint.
