Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists is proud to congratulate Liza on passing her PT board exmination!
Education: Liza Piper recently joined Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists as a Physical Therapist. Liza received her Master of Physical Therapy degree in May 2012 at Northern Illinois University. Liza has completed clinical internships in a variety of settings including: outpatient orthopaedic, neurological outpatient, neuro-sub-acute rehabilitation, and in home health care. She enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions using a manual and functional-exercise based approach.
Clinically: Liza enjoys treating a varied caseload including orthopaedic and other medical conditions with manual treatment and functional exercises. She is interested in promoting wellness and implementing prevention interventions.
Socially: Outside of work, Liza enjoys being outdoors, hiking and playing golf with her husband Aaron. She is an active member and preschool teacher at her church in Marengo. Liza enjoys being able to provide physical therapy services to the community in which she grew up.
What type of treatment will
I receive?
Treatment is based on the initial examination findings along with ongoing reassessment and evaluation. Treatment may consist of a variety of hands-on joint and soft tissue treatment techniques, gentle exercise techniques, pain reducing modalities, and education in self-management skills.
