Knee Pain
Physical therapy treatment addresses knee pain by assessing the muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, bones, and joints in that region of the body. Knee pain may also accompany lower leg, ankle, and hip pain. Common causes of knee pain include arthritis, ligament injuries, and torn cartilage/meniscus. Sudden twisting motions, poor alignment, and repetitive and jumping activities can increase knee pain. You should seek a physical therapist to relieve your knee pain if you have difficulty walking, going up and down stairs, squatting, increased swelling, or difficulty bending your knee.
